STEVE MUNACHEN JOINS DARK HORSES

Steve Munachen, formerly creative director of Pitch Marketing Group, has joined Dark Horses as its first creative partner.

Dark Horses is a sports marketing agency launched last year in partnership with Lucky Generals.

Munachen worked at Ogilvy Australia and 3 Monkeys before spending two years at Pitch, where he worked on campaigns such as the Switching Saddles with Victoria Pendleton for Betfair – which picked up the Best Use of PR Award at the BT Sport Industry Awards 2016 – and Premier League Kicks Heroes.

In his new role at Dark Horses, Munachen will be working with existing clients including DHL rugby, Wiggle, Chain Reaction, Yorkshire Tea and Southampton FC.

Dark Horses MD and co-founder Simon Dent said of the appointment: “Steve is one of the best creative talents in the industry, so we’re absolutely delighted to have him on board as we embark upon the next exciting stage of our journey.”

Munachen added: “This is the start of something fun. I joined Dark Horses to work alongside some of the greatest minds in the creative industry, and we’re planning to do things a little differently from every other sports agency out there.”
